What it does

We watch Tether's and Circle's contracts on TRON and Ethereum continuously and record every blacklist event they emit — 14,795 of them, going back to 2018-06-09. Paste an address and we read those contracts live, check it against the U.S. Treasury OFAC list, and look at the wallets it has actually transacted with.

Checking is free and needs no account. What we sell is the part that takes work: watching a wallet around the clock and telling you the moment a freeze proposal appears against it.

Why the warning window exists

On TRON, Tether's contract needs two signatures to blacklist an address, and the first one is a public transaction. That gap — and nothing else — is why anyone gets warning at all. Circle's USDC has no proposal step, so there is no window to watch; we say so rather than implying otherwise.

How long that window actually lasts, measured.

What we will not tell you

• No freeze probability. Most wallets frozen in any period did not exist when a prediction would have been made. We report exposure that exists, never odds we cannot stand behind.
• A failed check is never reported as clean. If we could not reach the chain, the result says exactly that.
• An exchange is not judged by its customers. A public hot wallet deals with everyone, so counterparty risk says nothing about it. We label it and move on.
• No dollar totals we cannot count. We hold which wallets were frozen and when, not what each held at the time.

Who runs it

OmniTrace is built and operated by an independent developer, not a company. It is an information tool: it reads public blockchain data and public sanctions lists and reports what it finds. It is not legal or compliance advice, and it is not a statement about any person.

We never ask for keys, seed phrases or a connected wallet, and we cannot unfreeze anything — nobody can. Get in touch for corrections.
