USDC is blacklisted by a single administrator call with no proposal stage, so there is nothing to see in advance beyond the transaction itself. We do not claim early warning for USDC.
Ethereum is where sanctions land hardest
TRON carries more freeze volume, but Ethereum carries more sanctions. Of the 991 crypto addresses on the U.S. Treasury OFAC SDN list that we track across 8 chains, Ethereum holds the largest share of smart-contract and mixer designations — the ones with named entities and programmes attached.
A sanctions hit is a different category of problem from a freeze. A freeze locks tokens; a sanctions designation is a legal exposure for whoever transacts with it.

- Blacklist status on the Tether contract, plus any pending multisig freeze proposal.

- Blacklist status on the Circle contract.

- Designation on the sanctions list, with the entity name and programme where published.

- Confirmed direct links to wallets that are themselves frozen or sanctioned.
- Address handling
- Checksummed and lowercase forms resolve to the same wallet, so casing never changes the answer.
